About the instructor
Eric Weissman has spent 19 years in NHL hockey operations with the Buffalo Sabres and LA Kings. He currently scouts for the Kings, covering AHL call-ups and managing reserve lists for 500+ drafted prospects.
Eric didn't play professional hockey. He entered through internships and graduate roles, working his way up from operations support to professional scouting. He's covered thousands of games, attended NHL Combines, contributed to draft boards, and built tracking systems for player development.
Pipeline Hockey teaches what sport management programs don't: how NHL teams actually scout, develop players, and make roster decisions. It's operational knowledge from 19 years of doing the work, taught by someone still doing it today.
Eric and his family live in Chicago.
